'Tis the Season

'Tis the Season

'Tis the season to be jolly!  That, of course, unless you're the Denver Nuggets on the road this season.  Already with 19 road games this season it is fitting that the Nuggets will play on the road on Christmas Day.  Denver is 7-12 on the road this year and they will face the red-hot L.A. Clippers who are looking for their 14th straight win.  Although Denver is playing on Christmas, they should take this game as a compliment because 9 other top teams are playing on Christmas too.  What Nuggets fans may not think as a compliment is the inability to buy their new Christmas gear on nbastore.com!  Unless I'm mistaken the store only carries the other 9 teams' special edition uniforms!  If I'm wrong, please let me know.  If you do want to look at the uniforms Denver will wear then check out the link below.  New uniforms or not, the Nuggets will have their hands full with the high-flying Clippers.  The Christmas-night game will be the first of 4 games in 5 nights for the Nuggets!  That's a happy holidays card from the NBA, Denver!  Now, here's my predictions for the 5 NBA games on Christmas (yes, I do watch a lot more than just Nuggets games).  Merry Christmas everyone!

2012 Christmas Predictions

Game 1-  Celtics at Nets

Celtics not looking great this year.  The Nets have already beaten Boston twice this year.  Brooklyn will have the home advantage in this one.

                Nets 107, Celtics 101

Game 2- Knicks at Lakers

Steve Nash and Pau Gasol are both back for the Lakers.  Carmelo Anthony vs Kobe Bryant might be the best match up of the day.  Knicks will out-shoot Kobe.

                Knicks 119, Lakers 104

Game 3- Thunder at Heat

The most anticipated game of the day.  LeBron vs Durant.  Heat seem to be slipping as of late.  I think they get up for this game though.

                Heat 105, Thunder 102

Game 4- Rockets at Bulls

James Harden's beard vs the Chicago Bulls' defense.  This game would have been more intriguing with Rose in the game.  That being said I pick the home team.

                Bulls 97, Rockets 93

Game 5- Nuggets at Clippers

I don't think anyone is picking Denver to end the Clippers win streak.  The Nuggets will have to make some long-range buckets to keep up.  Sadly, the Nuggets are a sub-par from outside the key.

                Clippers 112, Nuggets 105
